Here’s a video for what are considered the best paintball guns right now, mostly for those who have played already and want to upgrade.
There are those days when you go camping or find yourself in a cabin with a group of friends, where there is no tv and the cell phone reception is terrible. Well, there is a fun, adventurous, physically enjoyable game/sport you can play to pass the time. Paintball is a sport that is played almost the same as military combat. The participants are split into teams, when you are then required to shoot members of the rival team(s) with balls of paint fired from a special gun. Once a person has been shot, they are eliminated from the game. The paint leaves quite a mess on the victim so the other team knows they’ve been hit and therefore eliminated.
In order for you to play the game, you require a paintball gun (or marker), paintballs, a face mask, a loader and a compressed-air tank to power the marker. Also useful are boots, overalls, padding, and gloves to reduce chances of physical injuries. Paintballing has low chances of receiving any serious injury, as the propellant does not generate enough force to cause physical harm. The main problem that could be encountered is minor physical injuries such as bruises, sprains or eye injuries. In other unique cases, the injuries may be caused by defective products or a negligent rival shooting you in the wrong spot. The terrain could also be an issue, as the woods may have cliffs, sharp drops or trees with big roots that can trip the players.
There are various types of paintball games, the most common being capture the flag. For these games, there are different strategies to use, including:
Flanking – Split your team and advance on both sides of the oppressors. They will either be shot or they will fall back and lose the front protection.
Leap-frogging – Involves covering you teammates while they advance. Communication is vital in this area to know who is covering and who is moving ahead.
Retreat – You can always withdraw and re-position yourself (or your team) for a better chance to ambush the opposing team later.
Find cover – The trees will offer cover for players on both sides. The trick, however, is to hide colored equipment such as guns and masks. You can also set up barriers to hide behind.
Runners – This strategy focuses on the fastest in the group, who are tasked with getting the flag quickly. As soon as the game starts, two or three runners will set out separately to head for the flag.
Paintballing can be done for fun and adventure with family or friends. It can also be done as a form of exercise, as the running burns calories and improves blood circulation. It is a good way of socializing in camps or get-togethers and anniversaries. Paintballing is a sport which can be used to teach the importance of teamwork and strategy among different teams. It also nurtures constructive competition as the main aim of the game is to outlast the rivals.
For people n the military, paintball can be used as target practice, to work on speed and the importance of communication in the field. So the next time you are planning a trip to the woods or you need a recreational activity, acquire the equipment and enjoy paintballing with your companions. Happy hunting! All beginner hunters should have some tips to cut their learning curve time. If you listen to seasoned hunters, you may get a nice amount of tips, but you have to figure out where to start on your own.
The following hunting tips may be just what you need to kickstart your hunting adventures.
1. Remember: Early Bird Gets the Buck!
It is pertinent to know that there are specific guidelines that every hunter must follow all the time. Only particular periods of the year and day are allowed for hunting. Hunters are also expected to refrain from hunting at night and dawn. These are common sense rules that have been enforced to ensure that no one else is ever harmed.
This, however, doesn’t imply that you can show up for the task at a particular time. You can be in the woods at dawn, provided you don’t make any attempt at shooting an animal before sunrise. It is very crucial that you show up early enough to familiarize yourself with the surroundings and get yourself a desirable place closest to your target.
2. You Should Keep Hunting Until Sunset
Some people do best with an early morning hunt, but you should also consider going out in the early afternoon to set things up. Late afternoons are a crucial time for both the animals and the hunters. Most hunters are more likely to get focused shots and a variety of animals to choose from during those two time frames.
The main reason why late afternoons are a perfect time to hunt is that the animals must adjust their sight to the environment that is getting darker. You can take advantage of this natural state to hunt them, because they may not quickly notice you, which is especially true with deer. Many animals also tend to gather at this time. This is the usual period when they have to get out in search of food and water.
3. Smell Neutral
You should keep in mind that you are going to hunt, not to a party or a date. To smell neutral means that you should avoid using scented soaps perfumes, chemicals, and other products. Instead of attracting the animals, these scents will only alert them that there is something in their surroundings that smells strange. The perfect practice is to be neutral regarding smell so that you can merge into the surrounding environment without setting off any alarms.
4. Be Quiet
Keeping quiet is the best tip that every hunter should know at all times. It does not only mean that you don’t talk, but also making sure that the movements your are making don’t invoke even the slightest rustles. According to the laws of nature, most animals are very sensitive to any rustle including a pin drop. They are very careful too, will hear the lightest sounds, and then quickly run away.
Beginner’s Guide To Hunting Advice…
The details explained here are great hunting tips for starters but don’t just stop here. There are more lessons you must learn to become a professional hunter. Just remember to keep practicing and listen to what the more experienced hunters have to say. You can never be too prepared for this horrible situation of becoming lost in the woods. What if you’ve lost your cell phone (or reception), ran out of food, or the sun has set and now you have to survive not just a day, but days, upto a week?
We are happy to share this video with you!
Recently, we shared tips on how to survive in the wild but what if you have set out for the day to go on an awesome hike and all of a sudden, you realize you are lost?
Do you know how to survive hours in the day time, in the wilderness? What if you got lost at night?
If you’re stranded in the wilderness, the key to your survival is finding three specific things: shelter, food, and water. Now, in some outdoor situations where the elements are not too severe, you can survive without shelter. But it is impossible to survive without food and water. Knowing what to do in the case of an emergency situation can go a long way towards making sure you get home in the best health possible.
What To Have With You
If you plan on taking a retreat in the wilderness by yourself, you must consider carrying a couple of things with you. You have to get a knife, as it is used for many jobs. The rope is also useful for camping, especially if you find yourself in a survival situation. No matter the climate, always bring a jacket or windbreaker. They will keep your body warm at night, and staying warm is crucial. Also, bring water so you don’t become dehydrated.
You might find yourself in a survival situation while camping, since you are in the wilderness and have no way of reaching anyone if you don’t have a phone. First-aid kits will be necessary to heal injuries. Having a compass will help you find your way to the city. If you have a map of the area you will be camping at, it will be even more helpful. If you are in a survival position, having that safe place to sleep for the night is a great thing. The shelter will keep you dry and warmer. If you weren’t camping, you could build a simple lean-to with rope, some branches, and a tarp.
What You Can Do If You Didn’t Bring Anything…
Scan what is nearby and what you have on you right away. This will let you decide what you can make and how quickly you can make it. Look for tree types, plants that would work as rope, and possible combustible sources. Construct a roof as soon as possible. You can use a large tree with shelter underneath it or a cave.
Next, you would have to find food until an hour before sunset. Drink water from the cleanest possible rivers and as far from infection sources as possible. Build a fire using the tools around you. Start one by rubbing one end of a dry stick into the groove of the larger piece of wood until you see glowing embers in the channel, then blow softly while putting moss and leaves on it.
What To Eat Or Drink
Keep in mind that water in stagnant sources is often infected. If you find moving water, it is less likely to be contaminated. If you are not familiar with the fruit you find, a good rule of thumb is to evade any berries that are red or white. It’s those colors that are usually poisonous.
Avoid eating wild mushrooms, unless you can clearly identify them. Most wild mushrooms are perfectly safe to eat, but several varieties are poisonous. If you do not know how to determine the safe ones, it is best to stay away.
Remember that insects such as grasshoppers and locusts are edible. You can eat them live or roast them. Frogs, lizards, and turtles are other sources of protein that are moderately easy to catch. While these foods might not be your first choice, remember your goal is survival!
